Can it roll without having to use a spool? If so, how does the label attach to the take-up wheel?
Answer:
The 3 "fins" on the shaft allow you to tuck in a label. I usually rotate it 2 or 3 times with blank labels to apply tension and after that it winds the labels fine. You don't want to use adhesive backing on the labels to attach it since you won't be able to pull off the row. It's a little awkward at first but it works very well.The label slips into the slot under any of
the "fins". You hold it in place for a turn or two and then you are all set.
